How to transfer from my Mac to my iPhone/iPad?

Ensure PhotoSync is installed on both your source device and target device. The PhotoSync Companion application software for your Mac is available at our Downloads page.

To send one or more photos/videos from your Mac, just select one or more photos/videos in Finder, or select one or more folders and drag and drop the selected objects onto the PhotoSync icon in your Dock or onto the PhotoSync icon in your menu bar. You can also drag pictures from websites out of your web browser onto the PhotoSync icon.

Now you will see the Select Device window that scans for available PhotoSync devices. Make sure that PhotoSync is running and active on your iOS device and both devices are connected to the same WiFi network. Your iOS device should be found and show up in the list.

Transfer into your photo library

In the Album selector you will see the target album for your transfer. If you don't change the album, your photos/videos will go into the selected album which is Recents by default. To start the transfer just click on the Send button.

Automatically create albums (PhotoSync 4 or higher only)

If you want to automatically create albums on your iOS device that have the same name as the parent folders of the photos and videos you are transferring, please select Change album in the selection box.

Select Recents or a folder and check Automatically create albums to create albums with the names of the parent folders of your photos and videos at the top level of the photo library or below the selected folder.

Klick on Select to confirm your choice and click on Send to start the transfer to your iOS device.

Transfer into a an existing album or new album

If you want to select an existing album on your iOS device or create a new album to transfer your photos and videos to, please select Change album in the selection box.

Click on the plus button and choose New album... to create a new album on your iOS device.

Enter a title for your new album and click OK

Select the new album or select an existing album and click on Select to confirm the selection.

Click on Send to start the transfer to your iOS device.

As your photos and videos are transferred to the target device, PhotoSync shows you the progress of the transfer.
