How do I automatically transfer photos when I arrive at a pre-selected location?

To automatically transfer your new photos when you arrive at a pre-selected location, you can use the Autotransfer feature in PhotoSync. To set up Autotransfer, open PhotoSync settings and select Autofransfer.

The first time you set up Autotransfer, you will see an information screen informing you of the various autotransfer triggers, you can trigger an autotransfer either based on location, on arrival at a pre-selected location, or from a fixed time when your device is connected to a charger.

Select Configure to set up your autotransfer. In the first step, please select your autotransfer destination. If you want to transfer to a computer, you must select the target computer. The computer must be running and reachable at the time of triggering, the autotransfer will not be performed if you start the computer at a later time.

After selecting the transfer destination, select the method with which the autotransfer is to be triggered. Now select Autotransfer is executed when you arrive at a pre-selected location. PhotoSync determines your current location and sets it as the autotransfer trigger.

To access your location data, you must allow PhotoSync to access your location by selecting Allow While Using App. PhotoSync will never access your location data and use it for other purposes. Access to the location data is only required to allow iOS to automatically use the trigger when the location is reached to start PhotoSync in the background.

To make sure that the triggering actually works when arriving at the pre-selected location, you have to switch to the iOS settings (starting with iOS 13) and set the access to the location data to Always under PhotoSync, Location. Only then will iOS be able to permanently check your location and start the app when you arrive at the pre-selected location.

By the way, you don't have to worry that the permanent location access will negatively affect the capacity of your battery. iOS does not use the very battery intensive GPS for the location trigger (the so-called geofence), as one might assume, but only a somewhat less accurate cellular triangulation of your cellular connection. The accuracy of this method is about 500-650 ft.

Select a start date from which photos marked as New will be transferred with autotransfer. Also select whether to use the Recents album as the source for your autotransfer or to use only photos from specific user albums.
