How to transfer photos to Nextcloud?
To transfer photos to/from a Nextcloud personal cloud server you need to create a secure WebDAV connection with NextCloud. To get the connection information open a web browser and login into your Nextcloud server. Go to the Files section and click on the Settings button in the bottom left of the screen. This will show a text field containing an URL to connect to your Nextcloud server via WebDAV. That URL and the user credentials are all you need to create a connection to your Nextcloud server with PhotoSync.
Open the PhotoSync settings, go to Configure > WebDAV and add a new configuration. Use the following configuration settings:
| Server | The IP address or server name of the Nextcloud server, e.g. demo.nextcloud.com |
| Port | 443 for secure connections (https) or 80 for normal connections (http) |
| Login | The username to connect to the Nextcloud server |
| Password | The password to connect to the Nextcloud server |
| Directory | The path that is shown in the Nextcloud settings after the server name, e.g. ien8ooqu/remote.php/webdav/ |
TIP: If you enter the complete URL into the server field (e.g. https://demo.nextcloud.com/ien8ooqu/remote.php/webdav/) and then change to another field, PhotoSync will automatically split the URL and fill the server field with the server name, the directory field with the directory part and set the protocol to SSL if the URL contains the https protocol.
Tap on Done to create the connection and use it for your transfers.
