How can I connect my camera over USB to transfer photos / videos or enable remote shooting?

After successful configuration you will be able to transfer photos / videos from your camera to your iPhone / iPad over USB. PhotoSync also supports direct transfer to Computer, NAS or Cloud from your camera without having to import to your iPhone/iPad first. For many Canon EOS cameras PhotoSync enables tethered shooting: Photos & videos are transferred to your iPhone / iPad right after shooting. Optionally, immediate transfer to remote locations (computer, NAS, cloud) can be configured, plus photo booth support over HDMI & Airplay to a big TV screen is also possible.

Step 1

Connect your camera over USB to your iPhone/iPad. For iOS devices with a USB C port (iPad Pro) you can use an USB cable fitting the port on your camera. If your iOS device has a Lightning port, you need a Lightning to USB adapter.

When connecting to iOS devices equipped with a Lightning port, the device might display a message, that the "connected device consumes too much power". In this case you need disable the "Power over USB" option in the menu of your camera.

Step 2

Now open PhotoSync, touch the red sync button, touch „Receive“ and select the USB Camera target. You may need to confirm an alert, that PhotoSync wants camera access.
