How can I choose a different location for my photos on my Android device?

If you want to select a different storage location for new albums or new photos that you want to transfer to your Android device, you can do so in the PhotoSync settings under Expert Settings. Select Storage directory to set a different location than the previous one for new albums and photos. By default, PhotoSync will use the Pictures folder in the internal device memory as the default folder for photos and videos, just like all other apps.

If your device has an external SD card, you can choose between the internal device memory or the external SD card under Storage location. Please note that if you want to select an external SD card as storage location, you must grant PhotoSync write permissions on the external SD card, otherwise the app will not be able to save data to the external SD card or delete data from it. Tap Storage location to choose between the internal device memory and an external SD card, and select the desired location.

Then select the desired directory for storing new photos and videos by opening a folder selection via Internal storage directory (in the internal device memory) or External storage directory (for an SD card). Navigate to the desired folder and confirm your selection by tapping Select.

The selected storage directory is then displayed under the corresponding option in the Storage directory settings, also your selection of the Storage location.

New albums that you create or have created in PhotoSync, and photos and videos that you transfer to new albums or transfer to your device without specifying a destination album will be stored in the directory selected under Storage directory.
