How to transfer from my Mac to my Android phone/tablet?

Ensure PhotoSync is installed on both your source device and target device. The PhotoSync Companion application software for your Mac is available at our Downloads page.

To send one or more photos/videos from your Mac, just select one or more photos/videos in Finder, or select one or more folders and drag and drop the selected objects onto the PhotoSync icon in your Dock or onto the PhotoSync icon in your menu bar. You can also drag pictures from websites out of your web browser onto the PhotoSync icon.

Now you will see the Select Device window that scans for available PhotoSync devices. Make sure that PhotoSync is running and active on your Android device and both devices are connected to the same WiFi network. Your Android device should be found and show up in the list.

Automatically create albums

If you want to automatically create albums on your Android device that have the same name as the parent folders of the photos and videos you are transferring, please select Use parent folder name as your album name in the selection box. This is the default selection for transfers to Android devices.

Click Send to start the transfer of your photos and videos to your target device.

Transfer into a an existing album or new album

If you want to select an existing album on your Android device or create a new album to transfer your photos and videos to, please select the album of your choice or select --> New album in the selection box.

Enter a title for your new album and click OK

Select the new album or select an existing album and click on Send to start the transfer to your Android device.

As your photos and videos are transferred to the target device, PhotoSync shows you the progress of the transfer.
